Skipper Jim Magilton will return to the starting line-up as the Blues aim to continue this season's excellent home record against Watford. Magilton was rested at Preston on Friday but manager Joe Royle has confirmed that the Northern Irishman will be back against the Hornets.

Town manager Joe Royle felt his side switched off after going into a 2-0 lead at Watford and allowed the Hornets to claim what was an undeserved point. Watford boss Ray Lewington conceded that his team had been fortunate to gain a draw.

Town moved up to fourth in Division One as they put in their best performance of the season to beat Sunderland 1-0 at Portman Road. Tommy Miller scored from the spot in first half injury time, after Black Cats' keeper Thomas Myhre had pulled down Darren Bent.

Town will feel unlucky to have lost an action-packed encounter 3-2 to West Bromwich Albion. A suspiciously offside looking injury time goal from Geoff Horsfield finally won a game which had swung first one way and then the other with a number of vital refereeing decisions going against the home side.

Dean Bowditch was the star of the show as Town comfortably defeated Watford 4-1 at a windy Portman Road, the youngster netting the Blues' second hat-trick in five days. Jermaine Wright added the fourth late on, with Scott Fitzgerald having scored Watford's goal in first half injury time.

Town dropped to the bottom of the First Division with a dismal 4-1 defeat at West Bromwich Albion. Two goals in the first 15 minutes, one from former Blue Thomas Gaardsøe, virtually assured the Baggies a win. Richard Naylor got one back for Town at 3-1 but that was scant comfort on another depressing afternoon.

Jim Magilton is Town's only injury worry ahead of Saturday's home clash against Preston North End. The midfielder has a calf problem but Joe Royle is still hoping to include the Northern Irishman in his side.
